Morgan, this is a book I requested on Netgalley once I saw your very first story about it and read what it was about. Then, when my request stayed pending, I waited for pub day. Now, I have this book waiting on my Kindle and I'm so excited to get to it when it feels, as a strong mood reader, the right time. Thank you for your words!

I also have Migrations on my shelf, gifted by a dear friend for my birthday two years ago that I still haven't read, but I'm sure you understand all about the "right time".

Of course, I loved reading your thoughts on a book that I also loved. It is only the second fiction book I have given five stars to this year and is most definitely my favorite of all the books I've read in 2025. As you said, "Even if the story didn’t end in the way I’d wanted, I understood why it ended the way it did, and there was so much beauty and balance in it." I completely agree. That choice was so poignant, moving and honest. All of the scenes with the animals were incredible, and I cried quite a bit reading about them, especially with the whales. It felt, despite the messages of loss and grief, such a life affirming book and while I have loved both "Migrations" as well as "Once There Were Wolves", I was still blown away by this, high expectations merited. I think, by the way, you will especially love "Migrations". And yes... Dominic in the audiobook... brilliant. :)
